The Story About The DuCkS..... Here it goes..... Everyone asks me how the DuCkS got under way and why. Jim Day, who is standing here with me in this picture, started the whole thing.... Almost two years ago i bumped into Jim at center bar in the Hard Rock Hotel. He was there with a few buddies and he happened to have a rubber duck with him sitting on top of a bottled beer (light beer as a matter of fact). i asked him "What is the deal with "ThE DuCk"!?!". He told me that ThE DuCk had been with him for a while and everywhere Jim went it went with him. So he often took pictures of ThE DuCk in all kinds of situations. Wink - Wink. The reason ThE DuCk was on top of a beer bottle was simply because it was having a beer. How did i not see that coming? He also added that when he wasn't watching it, one of his buddies always was. We hung out for awhile, did shots and got to know each other, etc. At one point, Jim went to the restroom foolishly leaving The Duck unattended. i went in for the kill !!!! Well, i proceeded to kidnap it (please note that NO DuCkS were harmed during this period). i placed a band-aid on it's bill incase it yelled for help, but i made sure not to harm it in any way (mostly because Jim Day would eat me if i did). For the next week i took pictures, as much as i do now, of ThE DuCk and some random yet VERY helpful volunteers. i took tons of pictures and put them in an unmarked envelope along with a ransom letter. What else? The histeria began. In my demands i asked Jim to get me a fly swatter in exchange for the safe return of ThE DuCk. For those of you who know Jim personally, just imagine "Angry Jim" searching store after store for a fly swatter. i still laugh just thinking about that part. ***Oh and please don't ask me about "The Fly Swatter" story, i only have time to manage a few websites at a time. The creation of "The Fly Swatter" website is about 100 on my to do list. Thanks, Mgmt. Hint: "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas".*** Needless to say "ThE DuCk" was returned in one piece. Jim and i have become GREAT friends and he made me a step dad of ThE DuCk. The website is growing more tha imagined and everyone is having fun.
